Ora Dental Studio Goes Gold

We had big plans. This wasn’t going to be a typical dentistry office. The new Ora Dental Studio was going to be innovative, fresh. Through a collaboration of Eco-Dentistry and Eco-Architecture, their new location in Wicker Park would achieve LEED Silver Certification by showcasing design elements such as eco-resin doors, green lighting, efficient mechanical systems, Energy Star appliances, and low flow plumbing fixtures. Ora also intended to incinerate all bio-wastes onsite. It would be the greenest dental office in all of Chicago!

They say that you should shoot for the stars so that if you fall short, you’ll still land on the moon. We shot for the stars and landed, well, in the stars. Together with our friends at Ora, we were able to accomplish all of our goals and more. After inspections of the new location, it has been determined that it is actually running more efficiently than planned. In fact, the new Ora Dental Studio has received LEED Gold Certification, which makes us really excited. Moreover, Ora also achieved GreenDOC (Green Dental Office Certification) Gold and the CleanMed Conference’s Environmental Excellence Award for their commitment to sustainability.

We had big plans. And we achieved more than we originally thought possible. We’re proud of Ora’s accomplishments and are happy that we had a part!
